Admissions

Admission Procedure

  • The school welcomes both boys and girls, irrespective of their caste, creed, or social status, provided there are available seats.
  • Upon registration, the child will be interviewed. The school will inform the parents about the date of the interview.
  • For admission, students from recognized schools must submit a school leaving certificate/ transfer certificate, duly signed by the relevant authority. Nursery and K.G. students must also provide a municipal birth certificate or a hospital certificate signed by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
  • Once a child is accepted for admission, the parents must make the fee payment within three days of notification. If the fee is not paid within that time, the admission will be cancelled.
  • By admitting their child to the school, the parent or legal guardian agrees to follow the current rules and any future revisions.
  • The Principal has the right to deny admission to a child without providing a reason.
  • It is necessary for students to bring their Almanac (Diary) to school daily and use it effectively.

School Rules

Students attending Tulsi Public School should bear in mind that their behaviour, whether in or out of uniform, reflects upon the school. As representatives of the institution, students must uphold decorum, exhibit politeness and good manners at all times. Adhering to the following rules is essential to prevent any inconvenience, as the school authorities will take strict action against any violations.

  • Students should maintain cleanliness and wear neat attire consistently.
  • Non-Sikh boys should regularly trim their hair and ensure it is kept simple, as extravagant hairstyles are not permitted.
  • Students should transition from one classroom to another in an orderly and quiet manner during class changes.
  • Shouting or whistling is prohibited in or around the school building, and running in corridors is strictly forbidden.
  • Throwing waste or wrappers irresponsibly is strictly against the rules. A dustbin should always be used for disposing of waste.
  • Bullying and using foul language, whether inside or outside of school, are punishable offences.
  • All school property must be taken care of, and students should not scratch, damage, or deface desks, chairs, furniture, or walls. Students will be held responsible for any damage incurred.
  • Students who cause damage to school property may be required to pay fines.
  • Unless given explicit permission by the class teacher, students should not bring any irrelevant books, magazines, or publications to school.
  • Lending or borrowing money or items from other students or staff is not allowed.
  • Bicycles, mobile phones, audio and video CDs, DVDs, and computer games are strictly prohibited on school premises. Bringing any of these items to school can result in suspension or expulsion.
  • Students are responsible for the safety of their belongings, and the school will not be held accountable for lost items.
  • Expensive watches, costly pens, and jewellery should be avoided.
  • Students are not permitted to leave the school premises during school hours without permission.
  • Playing in or around the washrooms is not allowed.
  • Engaging in fighting, lying, cheating, stealing, harassment, truancy, disruptive behaviour, or skipping classes is strictly forbidden.
  • Students should show care and respect for the elderly and those in need.
  • Acts of insensitivity towards less privileged children, children with special needs, insulting others, defiance, disobedience, or carrying and wearing unnecessary items within the school will be dealt with severely.
  • Students must not leave the play area without permission and will only participate in supervised games.
  • Leaving the classroom requires a class outpass.
  • Using unfair means during exams or tests is considered a serious offence, and strict action will be taken against those who engage in such misconduct.
  • The school emphasises environmental protection and expects students to participate in eco-friendly actions. Students should celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali and Holi and avoid using poly bags.
  • Students are expected to converse in English at all times.
  • If a student is suffering from an infection or contagious disease, they are not allowed to attend school until they have a doctor’s fitness certificate permitting their return.

Withdrawls

During a Session 

To withdraw a child from the school, a one-week notice is required. An additional fee of ₹50.00 must be paid for the issuance of the SLC (School Leaving Certificate). The refund of the security deposit will only be made once all outstanding school fees for the months the student was enrolled have been settled.

 

At the end of the Session 

The parents or guardians of students seeking to discontinue their studies or transfer to another school are advised to submit written notice by March 30th, even if the Annual Result has not been announced by that date. This notice should take the form of an application for a transfer certificate or a statement regarding the discontinuation of studies. Failure to provide timely notification will lead to automatic enrollment for the following session and the charging of the April fee. It is important to note that no admission fee is applicable to students already enrolled in our school.

A child’s name will be struck off from the roll if 

 

  • If he/she does not settle their dues by the 30th of the month,
  • If he/she is absent for one month without authorization.
